The Berlin Central and Regional Library (ZLB)

With over 3.5 million media and currently 1.5 million visits per year, the ZLB Foundation is the largest public library in Germany.

The library has two locations. One is the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek (AGB) in Berlin-Kreuzberg and the other is the Berliner Stadtbibliothek (BStB) in Berlin-Mitte.

The Berlin City Library in Mitte houses the natural sciences, medicine and economics departments as well as the Berlin Senate Library with its municipal sciences and law departments. The Berlin Collections and the Historical Collections of the ZLB offer extensive holdings on Berlin's past and present in the reading room on the 2nd floor. Berlin's digital heritage is stored in the Digital State Library.

Berlin-related events are regularly held on the premises of the Berlin City Library.
