The Prussian fortress of Cologne with the Inner (1815) and Outer (1873) Fortress Belt is extensively documented with plans, display boards and exhibits. The last original preserved "drawbridge" is impressively demonstrated. In theCologne Fortress Museum, historical architecture and garden art form a lively combination with modern art works. Continuous guided tours, special exhibitions or lectures offer occasions for a visit throughout the year.

The museum is open every 14 days. Always on the first Saturday and the third Sunday of the month.

Regular guided tours take place at 12, 14 and 16 o'clock.
