It's hard to believe the history that lies dormant directly beneath Cologne's city hall. A few steps below are the remains of a much older building: Around 2000 years ago, the palace of the Roman governor was located here - with its enormous dimensions, the most magnificent Roman building on the Rhine! This year is the last chance to get up close to Cologne's ancient past before the Praetorium is integrated into the MiQua.
