30 years of Theaterstübchen: Kassel celebrates major summit meeting of the local music scene
The Theaterstübchen is marking a milestone: on September 26, 2026, the cultural institution is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an unprecedented event. On this day, the Interim will host what is probably the biggest gathering of renowned Kassel artists that the city has ever seen.
Since its opening on September 26, 1996 on Steinweg, the Theaterstübchen has developed into the heart of live music in Kassel, from its location in Oberste Gasse to its current location in Jordanstrasse (since 2000). Owner Markus Knierim is celebrating this anniversary with a special concept: "I want exactly one song from each band for this day."
