9. Urban Space Video Walk "Nightshift"
In the organizer's words:
This year’s Urban Space Videowalk, under the theme “Nightshift,” explores perspectives on the night as an urban, social, ecological, and sensory space.
At night, perceptions, bodies, and relationships change. Clubs, bars, streets, train stations, and gas stations become temporary spaces of resonance—shaped by sound, light, movement, and encounters. Bass, voices, machines, sirens, silence, and the city’s constant hum shape the night just as much as shift work, sleep patterns, and urban infrastructure. Darkness can be a sanctuary, a place of retreat, and a space of transformation—just as it can be a space of fear, a zone of insecurity, or a place of loneliness and control.
At the same time, the city at night does not belong to humans alone. Foxes on empty streets, trees bathed in neon light, rodents in subway tunnels, insects on neon signs, or bats between concrete facades appear as dusk falls. Between visibility and invisibility, new networks of relationships, forms of coexistence, and perceptions emerge.
