Dinner’s on! And not just anywhere—but at Peter-Zadek-Platz. Nestled between the Schwankhalle and the Städtische Galerie, between Buntentor and Werdersee, and between cultural and residential spaces, lies this small but charming square. Since the summer of 2025, we’ve been working together with other users of this space to shape its future. We’re asking ourselves: Can this square become more than just a perpetual thoroughfare? And what do we need to make that happen?

After many site visits, observations, and analyses, we’re taking a different approach: We’re taking over the space! We’re closing it off to through traffic, setting up tables, and lighting the stove. Over freshly baked dinner, we’ll wind down the day together and let the place work its magic on us. Isn’t it nice to sit here together? Come join us—help yourselves to sandwiches and pickles.
