Embark on a musical journey of discovery that builds a fascinating bridge between continents. In this program, European tradition and American influences merge to create an evening full of a spirit of adventure and emotional depth.
The program opens with a gripping performance of Anna Clyne’s “Restless Oceans,” a contemporary work brimming with energy and power. This is followed by a rarely performed, true rarity of the Romantic repertoire: Moritz Moszkowski’s virtuosic Piano Concerto in E-Major.
The young Swiss pianist Simon Bürki will perform as soloist. A prize winner at numerous international competitions, he is regarded as an exceptional talent, celebrated for his subtle technique and profound interpretation.
The second half features Antonín Dvořák’s monumental Symphony No. 9, “From the New World,” one of the most beloved masterpieces in music history. At the podium is Swiss conductor Gaudens Bieri, known for his meticulous preparation and captivating stage presence, who will guide the audience through this varied evening with flair.
