Mozart’s Symphonic Legacy: The Great Trilogy at the Casals Forum
A single summer in 1788 was all it took for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to compose three of the most significant works in music history. Experience this fascinating trilogy in the outstanding acoustics of the Casals Forum in Kronberg. This afternoon, the Deutsche Philharmonie Merck will perform these three final symphonies, which are considered Mozart’s symphonic legacy. The program unfolds an impressive panorama: from the festive radiance of Symphony No. 39, through the tragic passion of the famous Symphony No. 40 in G minor, to the majestic perfection of the “Jupiter” Symphony No. 41.
Under the baton of Sasha Scolnik-Brower—one of the most promising young conductors in the United States, acclaimed for his precise and vibrant interpretations—Mozart’s full genius unfolds in a rich, inspiring concert experience.
