BRAHMS - BEETHOVEN
In the organizer's words:
Brahms: Symphony No. 3 in F Major
Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major, “Eroica”
Two “Thirds”: Passion and Heroism
Experience an orchestral ascent to new heights as two of the most significant symphonies in music history come together. The evening opens with Brahms’ Symphony No. 3—a work brimming with emotional depth and sonic mastery. The second half features Beethoven’s revolutionary “Eroica.” With its visionary power and energy, it once shattered all boundaries and continues to inspire with its heroic spirit to this day.
Christian Kluxen will be at the podium. The Danish conductor, who has served as chief conductor of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra in Canada since 2017, is internationally renowned for his charismatic and energetic interpretations. As a former “Dudamel Fellow” of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, he combines precise baton technique with deep emotional expressiveness and is regarded as one of the most exciting figures among the younger generation of conductors.
