"Beyond": works by Claudio Monteverdi, Biagio Marini, Giulio Caccini, Barbara Strozzi, Francesco Cavalli, Giovanni Cesare Netti and others.

Trained in Warsaw and New York, Jakub Józef Orliński is one of today's leading countertenors. But he is not only causing a stir with his clear, dark-timbred, nuanced alto voice, he is also a model, brand ambassador, break dancer and social media star and, with this versatility, a representative of a new generation of artists. However, his real area of expertise is of course his beguiling singing, of which he already gave an impressive taste in Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" at the opening of the 2024 Musikfest. His program "Beyond" combines exclusively works from the Italian early Baroque period, for which numerous composers who are hardly known today were rescued from oblivion alongside Monteverdi, Caccini and Cavalli. Arias, cantatas and madrigals as well as purely instrumental works are skillfully interwoven dramaturgically to create a through-composed concert with very different moods. The charismatic Orliński has a congenial and highly competent partner full of esprit and joyful playing at his side in the form of the exquisite ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro.
