In a moderated discussion, Prof. Dr. Stefan Kombüchen(FHM) and Christian Spolders(EXPRESS.de) will discuss how the use of AI is changing the media industry and what opportunities and risks this presents for dealing with media content.

Dr. Stefan Kombüchen is Professor of Media Communication and Journalism at the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) in Cologne. He has also been Managing Director of the PR!ZM agency since 2019 and advises companies on all aspects of communication. He previously worked as Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing at plastics specialist igus in Cologne.
Since the beginning of 2023, he has been working on the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence. To this end, he and his colleagues set up the interdisciplinary project "KI-Zukunftswerkstatt" at FHM.
Christian Spolders is head of the editorial team at EXPRESS.de. He was previously Managing Editor for Digital and News at EXPRESS (2016 to 2020) and CVD for News and Entertainment at Rheinische Post and RP Online. He studied at the University of Cologne (2004 to 2011).
With the "author" Klara Indernach, EXPRESS.de was one of the first German daily newspapers to create and publish editorial articles with the help of AI.
