Caribbean Nights @ Pure Note - Monster Riddim

In the organizer's words:

Caribbean Nights at Pure Note. To make the wait for summer a little more pleasant, we are hosting a series of concerts with Caribbean sounds in February and March.

Monster Riddim - the reggae dancehall and dub veterans of the 2000s - are back from the grave!

It all began with the predecessor band "International Dubsystem", with whom a CD was released for the SPV label in 1995.

They were also the live band for the Ratingen hip-hop crew Fresh-Familee for two years.

In 2000, the band's drummer, Don Raphael, founded Monster Riddim.

Releases included: Lazy Youth: We are the ones, Ischen Impossible: Grünzeugkristalle, Mono and Nikitaman: T.S.P.

Live they were on tour with the rootdown artists Mono and Nikitaman

Also with artists like Nosliw, Dr. Ringding, Zuluman, Natty Flo, Ischen Impossible and others.

They played at reggae festivals like: SPLASH, Summerjam, Karneval der Kulturen Berlin, Afrika Festival Munich and many more.

In 2023 Rapha reanimated the old Monster Crew.

New members were Damiano, keyboarder of the band Full Tune Clan and Pachango Esperanza, singer of the band Six Nation.

It is also possible to dine at Pure Note during the event. A table reservation is recommended.
