christine prayon will not be doing cabaret in the conventional sense she is no longer interested in pure criticism of the status quo if there is no talk of alternatives and utopias at the same time she also thinks it's time to save the world but she can't do that on her own which, incidentally, she can't and even less wants to do is to sit at the piano and sing about so-called women's issues she's the wrong person for that if that's what you expect you'll be bitterly disappointed so you'd better not expect anything because your viewing habits will be undermined anyway oh yes and by the way birte schneider isn't on stage tonight either who is that anyway.

With "Abschiedstour" I'm going for the really big feelings, after years of focusing on the really small feelings with my first program "Die Diplom-Animatöse" (because I'm often asked about it: a small feeling is, for example, a medium amount of sympathy for a really good friend). Perhaps the word "farewell tour" triggers surprise, sadness or even panic in you. That doesn't matter. That's exactly how I and my management intended it. A farewell increases the market value of this cabaret product many times over due to the emotional charge. It doesn't matter which farewell it is:
Is Christine Prayon saying goodbye to the stage? Possibly. From her mid-40s onwards, a woman is an aesthetic provocation and, if she really loves her audience, is better off withdrawing from the public without being asked.
Is cabaret dead? Possibly. When politicians try to be clowns, the clowns run into politics.
Or are we talking about a farewell on a grand scale? The end of capitalism? Possibly. - - FOOLED!!! Of course not possible. Capitalism is the last straw, but there is no alternative. End of the discussion.
