Cologne Guitar Quartet - Fusion Project | SoundLinks Festival

With its Fusion Project, the Cologne Guitar Quartet combines the musical traditions and cultural influences of its members to create a versatile crossover program. An exciting dialog is created between classical music, world music, contemporary music and electronic soundscapes, characterized by an extraordinary instrumentation with classical and electric guitar, cavaquinho, Portuguese guitar, bouzouki, electric bass and vocals.

At the SoundLinks Festival, the ensemble will present world premieres of new compositions of its own as well as new arrangements from its own ranks. For this special concert, the quartet will be joined by percussionist Antoine Duijkers, whose playing will open up additional rhythmic and tonal facets.
