Cousines like Shit is a Vienna-based band consisting of cousins Hannah and Laura Breitfuss.

With sharp, socially critical punchlines, Hannah and Laura Breitfuss express their views on social phenomena and the paradoxes of being human. Their songs create space for self-reflection, evoke the feeling of being caught red-handed—or simply make you smile when you recognize the comical nature of certain human behavior patterns.

Their sound defies any clear categorization—Cousines like Shit themselves call it AVANT TRASH. That’s also the title of their debut album, which was released in September 2023 on Seayou Records.

The self-proclaimed genre “Avant Trash” embodies their unique style, their lyric-driven approach, and their simple yet catchy melodies.
