In the organizer's words:
Danny Dziuk feat. Krazy
"Danny Dziuk has been releasing his records pretty much 'under the radar' for decades. His collaborations with Stoppok and Annett Louisan have made him one of the most recognized songwriters. When he sings his songs himself, they gain a unique power in their laconic and then again committed manner." (Jury statement for the "German Record Critics' Award" 2023) The JUNGE WELT comments: "Cleverly formulated questions or stories whose soul, spirit and wit are always reminiscent of Kurt Tucholsky and, perhaps even more so on this album, of Randy Newman." And Bob Dylan is also "recognizable, well-understood and processed", wrote the ROLLING STONE. Wiglaf Droste attested that he "has his finger on the pulse of the times, moves in his own time and creates something timeless". And Wolfgang Niedecken called him a "fantastic lyricist and great singer who I would wish much more success". Partly as a bread-and-butter job, Danny Dziuk has written numerous theater and film scores, including for various "crime scenes", as well as symphonic arrangements for Axel Prahl's Inselorchester, with whom he tours the country from time to time. He has also toured internationally as a keyboardist with musicians such as Sheryl Crow, David Lindley and Keb' Mo'. Danny Dziuk (voc, piano, git, loops) will present his German-language songs in miniature format, supported by the Cologne songwriter Krazy (voc, perc., git).
And since Krazy, "a poetic and musical underground wonder without equal" (Bonner Stadtmagazin), has recently released a fine new album, she will also present a few songs from it, where Dziuk will shut up and accompany her devotedly on the piano (Krazy - "In Stiefeln" - Timezone - https://www.krazysongster.de) frs Further press reviews: ROADTRACKS: "Rarely do you experience at a concert how listeners in the audience listen as intensely as these lyrics are crafted." (JUNGE WELT, Frank Schwarzberg) FAZ: "His songs are imbued with an enchantingly dry humor, with which he skillfully places himself between the romantic passion of Rio Reiser and the laconic narrative style of Sven Regener." (FAZ, Norbert Krampf)
