The spectrum of his enthusiastic advocates ranges from Wolfgang Niedecken to Wiglaf Droste. Having won numerous prizes and been showered with praise by the press, Dziuk has nevertheless been denied a larger audience or - depending on your point of view - spared one.
He has written songs for Stefan Stoppok, Annett Louisan and Ulla Meinecke, among others, as well as many theater and film scores, including various "crime scenes", and symphonic arrangements for Axel Prahl's Inselorchester, with whom he tours the country from time to time.
His current album, which impresses above all with its musical stylistic diversity, deals with, among other things, man-eaters and friendships beyond Facebook, responds to identitarians, cross-frontalists and Israel boycotters, tells of under-exposed trolls and a seven-year-old who plausibly explains to her mother in a children's hospital ward why she would rather do without the clowns installed there to cheer up the children.
His songs are "imbued with an enchantingly dry humor, with which he skillfully places himself between the romantic passion of Rio Reiser and the laconic narrative style of Sven Regener." (FAZ)
But fans of Bob Dylan or Randy Newman may also find Danny Dziuk a secret delight.
He will present the album "Unterm Radar" in raw format on piano and guitar - together with his allies Karl Neukauf (guitar, keyboard, perc) and Krazy (2nd voice, perc).
