With Philosophie, Cologne-based guitarist and composer Davids Bejers releases his second album - a work between jazz, indie and atmospheric songwriting.

The music moves between clear song structures and open, improvisational moments.
Influences from modern jazz, indie rock and experimental soundscapes merge into a sound that is both
into a sound that is both intimate and powerful. The focus is not on stylistic categorization
the search for a personal musical expression.
Thematically, philosophy revolves around central questions - inspired by Plato, Heidegger and Slavoj Žižek:
How do we experience the world? What does it mean to be authentic? And do we even know what we are doing?
These questions are not only reflected in the texts, but also in the musical
musical composition - in arcs of tension, harmonic breaks and moments of openness.

Davids Bejers is a composer, guitarist and music producer from Riga, Latvia, and now lives in Cologne.
His influences range from jazz to academic music and jazz fusion to post-rock.
Philosophie is his second album as a bandleader.
The six pieces move between intimacy, tension and sonic openness.
