Nils Tegen Trio RE: Richie Beirach

In the organizer's words:

When Richie Beirach died a few weeks ago and I played some of his pieces while practicing, I realized how connected I am to his compositions and harmonies and how many pieces I had already written with this sound (even before I knew his music) or that were inspired by it.
I was actually planning to do my next concert after the "Thelounious Monk tribute" with only my own pieces, but the idea of performing Richie Beirach's music with me as the pianist was too strong. Now I have the opportunity to realize this idea live with Reza Askari on bass and Silvio Morger on drums.
So there will be music by the great Richie Beirach, as well as compositions from my busy pen. Some of my pieces will be premiered on this evening and have been composed especially for this occasion.
