Poetry Slam

We make the theater stage shake - with a literary competition in a class of its own, the Dead Or Alive Poetry Slam. This special form of verbal duel is quite rightly called the supreme discipline of the poetry slam.

Do the works of the great writers from the afterlife still stand a chance against some of the strongest texts of current stage poetry? Or will they be immediately sent back to the grave by the audience vote? Will the country's best and most vibrant stage poets hold their own when the concentrated skills of top-class actors bring the characters of the dead poets to life?

Despite the fierce competition and the exciting question "DEAD OR ALIVE?", the interplay between the talented local actors, the top-class slammers, the usual competent DJ Fug and the equally usual casual moderation by Luca Swieter made for an evening of contrasts and a great overall effect.

We're simply celebrating stage literature, because it's definitely very much alive with the organizers of Reim in Flammen and COMEDIA, regardless of the physical condition of its authors!
