Der König der Löwen

The animals of Africa are overjoyed when Simba, the lion cub and future king of the savanna, is born. As the son of Mufasa (James Earl Jones), the throne rightfully belongs to him. But Mufasa’s brother Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor) lays claim to the throne and seizes it through treacherous means, whereupon Simba is banished into exile and must leave his friend Nala (Beyoncé Knowles-Carter) behind. But with the lively meerkat Timon (Billy Eichner) and the carefree warthog Pumbaa (Seth Rogen), Simba finds new friends and companions who help him grow up carefree despite the difficult times. Yet his past continues to haunt him, and as a young lion, Simba (now voiced by Donald Glover) realizes that he must return to the savanna and face Scar in battle to reclaim his rightful place on the throne.
