In the organizer's words:
At a tennis club in rural Germany, the preparations for the summer party are led by Heribert. When a separate barbecue is proposed for Erol, the club's only Muslim member, tensions arise. What begins as a simple discussion quickly develops into a debate about social and personal conflicts that threatens to tear the club apart.
One of the funniest and most successful plays of recent years is coming to the big screen: director Marcus H. Rosenmüller ("Pumuckl und das große Missverständnis", "Trautmann") has staged the stage hit by comedy authors Dietmar Jacobs ("Stromberg", "Pastewka") and Moritz Netenjakob ("Stromberg", "Ladykracher") with a brilliant ensemble. Hape Kerkeling ("Der Boandlkramer und die ewige Liebe", "Kein Pardon") and Christoph Maria Herbst ("Der Buchspazierer", "Der Spitzname") were in front of the camera together for the first time. Other roles are played by Fahri Yardim ("jerks", "Schock"), Anja Knauer ("Pumuckl und das große Missverständnis") and Friedrich Mücke ("Das Kanu des Manitu", "Ballon") as well as Gaby Dohm ("Die Schwarzwaldklinik") and Milan Peschel ("Beckenrand Sheriff", "Doppelhaushälfte").
