What does belonging mean? When do you feel like you’ve found your place, and who actually decides that?

The photo exhibition “German Enough?” explores the themes of identity, belonging, and life across multiple cultures in Germany. It focuses on people with diverse life stories who share their personal experiences and thoughts on origin, home, and identity.

The resulting portraits were taken during the interviews, at the very moment the subjects were telling their stories. This creates authentic, candid photographs that reveal genuine emotions and personalities.

“German Enough?” invites viewers to reflect on social belonging, question prejudices, and make space for the diverse perspectives of people in Germany.
