Open-air concert
After a living room jam session together in the east of Stuttgart, singer and ney player Ilter Ünal and pianist Fabian Meyer decided to make music together. Fabian invites Ilter to a concert of his long-established trio to sing along to a few songs.
Inspired by this meeting, the two of them write many new songs in a short space of time. Without fear of contact, they make use of a wide variety of genres, such as jazz, indie, pop, electronic and traditional Turkish music. Ilter writes the lyrics in English and Turkish, his mother tongue. A few months later, they went into the studio to record and produce their debut album Sakin, which was released in February 2020.
Lunaves - a band with its very own sound between melancholy and energy, moon and earth - is born.
In addition to songs from the album "Sakin" and the EP "Kelime", which was released in winter 2023, some completely new pieces will also be presented.
