Thibaut is a successful orchestra conductor in Paris. When he falls ill with leukemia, he hopes that his sister can help him out with her bone marrow. But a DNA test reveals that the two are not related at all. Thibaut subsequently learns not only that he is adopted, but also that he has a younger brother. He leads a modest life in the French provinces and conducts a marching band! A humorous comédie humaine in which city meets country and high culture meets folk culture.

The MAKK inner courtyard has been temporarily closed due to damage to the roof. The screening will be moved indoors to the filmpalette, Lübecker Str. 15, 50668 Cologne.

Statement from the Kino Gesellschaft Köln team on the premature end of the MAKK Open Air

Dear friends of the cinema,

For safety reasons, the inner courtyard of the MAKK must be closed with immediate effect due to roof damage and may no longer be entered. We have known this since yesterday and are now working feverishly to find other solutions so that we can still show the films.

The films will now be shown at 9.30 pm in the Film Palette in the main auditorium.

This is a great loss for us, as we are unlikely to find another suitable open-air location as an alternative venue any time soon. Not only the lack of income, but also the previous costs for the open air are now tearing a big hole in our coffers.

We would therefore be delighted if you could still come and see the films. We are still trying to surprise you with additional offers. The films are still worth seeing and after all, we also have a starry sky in the film palette...
