Antonio Vivaldi: Concerti op. 8/1-4 "Le quattro stagioni" ("The Four Seasons")
Antonio Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" is one of the most famous works in music history! But with Julien Chauvin and Le Concert de la Loge, they come across fresher and livelier than ever. The French violinist and his ensemble have set themselves the task of expanding the concert experience and opening up new perspectives by building bridges to other arts. And so Chauvin confronts Vivaldi's masterpiece with dance and stage design, teaming up with two big names to do so: Mourad Merzouki and Coline Serreau. The internationally renowned choreographer already wowed audiences last year in Henry Purcell's "The Fairy Queen" with his rousing mix of hip-hop, contemporary dance, circus and acrobatics. Director Coline Serreau deepens the new three-dimensional interpretation by turning the musicians into actors, even opera singers, who enter into a dialog with the dancers - an interdisciplinary work that allows you to experience the "Four Seasons" with its expanded expressive potential in a completely new way!
