ELK Festival / The Ghosts of Taipei. Reading with Klára Wang Tylová (Czech Republic).
Czech author Klára Wang Tylová, who worked for many years as a journalist in Taiwan, will read from her novel*Ostrov duchů / The Ghosts of Taipei," which explores beliefs in ghosts, "lost places," and the housing market in Taiwan—a work translated into German by Susa Wolfrum (Leipzig). In conversation with Marie Foulis (Cologne), she will discuss her work. Charlotte Belina Wulff (Cologne) will read the German text.
For the 8th time, the European Literature Festival (ELK) presents international literature, focusing on the theme of “Shame” and drawing visitors to various venues in Kalk.
