Hazal is 17 and lives in Berlin. Her most fervent wish: a life with a bloody future. But despite countless applications, she can't find an apprenticeship and isn't even invited to an interview. Instead, she is stuck in pointless measures at the job center. But she wants to celebrate her 18th birthday with her friends in a club. But as soon as she gets in the queue, Hazal realizes that this is not for her. In fact, the doorman refuses them entry. On the way home, a student harasses them and the situation escalates. Anger and frustration take hold and lead to a momentous act. Hazal flees to Istanbul, where she has never been before, and is completely on her own.

THE PROJECT
Young people from the Krebelshof youth center, the Magnet and Villa OTs and the Bauwagen youth club watched films on ten different dates. The Filmhaus Köln selected a selection of feature-length films from the Berlinale Generation 14plus section. Finally, the project participants decided on three films.
The open-air cinema in Volkhoven is therefore entering its second round this year. After the cinema had to move from the Generationenpark to the Villa after the first screening last year, this year it is taking place in a new location: on the grounds of the Simultanhalle.
