In the organizer's words:
Three HfMT ensembles in one evening.
Art of the Trio Ensemble: The jazz trio as a classical formation of the genre forms the starting point of the "Art of the Trio Ensemble". Under the motto "three are a crowd", the focus is on collective music-making: a game of proximity and distance, of friction and balance, which makes the dynamics of three voices tangible as an artistic idea.
Free Improvisation Ensemble: improvisation in its cross-style dimensions: Form and shape, individual as well as collective musical expression and the process of playing impulse, interaction and creativity.
Microtonal Ensemble: The Microtonal Ensemble expands the tonal space by fanning out the octave into 24 tones and thus developing a sound language that makes the familiar appear from unusual perspectives. Like shards of mirror that continue to reflect their surroundings, the world is not changed, but told anew: through the finest shifts, shades and frictions in the sound.
