“Erzähl-Ich,” a storytelling workshop

Stories are everywhere. New ones emerge every day, while others accompany people throughout their lives. We know tales of encounters in distant places, mysterious landscapes, and dark forests as fairy tales.

The“Erzähl-Ich”workshop focuses on the archetypal motifs of traditional fairy tales. Using these images and narrative patterns, participants explore the biographical experiences reflected within them. Over the course of the weekend, fairy tale motifs and personal memories merge into original stories that emerge from the interplay of imagination and life experience.

The art of storytelling thrives on the immediacy of the spoken word and the listeners’ power of imagination. It draws on fundamental elements of theater and combines them with contemporary performative approaches to create a vibrant form of storytelling.
