Escht Cabaret – Highlights from Four Shows 

Subtle humor, biting satire, and absurd comedy: Torsten Schlosserpresents Brümmer, Reusch, Zingsheim, and Kim.

One show, four stage personalities, and plenty of funny stories, hosted by Torsten Schlosser. Laura Brümmer, Stefan Reusch, Martin Zingsheim, and Illyoung Kim showcase the absurd comedy of everyday life from different perspectives—ranging from politically sharp to musically rousing to satirically exaggerated.

Laura Brümmerobservesthe chaos of everyday life with a curious eye. With her sharp sense of humor, she finds the hidden comedy everywhere—comedy that’s just waiting to be brought to the stage.

Stefan Reusch, known from WDR 2, is not only a satirist but also a self-proclaimed savior of the world. With razor-sharp powers of observation and dry humor, he exposes the perfectly normal madness of our times—brilliant, subtle, and always with a wink.

Martin Zingsheim’srecipefor an entertaining evening: spice up biting comedy and substantive cabaret with a pinch of rousing music. And to the delight of the audience, the result is linguistically witty, profoundly entertaining, and wonderfully crazy.

Ilyoung Kimpresentsgrotesquely funny stories from everyday life, drawing on his experiences as a German with Asian features. With his laid-back and charming style, he draws his audience in to peer into the abyss together—for example, when this born-and-raised Cologne native is mistaken for the North Korean dictator.

Comedian and cabaret artist Torsten Schlosser will host the afternoon.
