Der fabelhafte Die - Theaterlesung
In the organizer's words:
With a soft creak, an old circus wagon rolls into the light. It hums, purrs, and jingles—until a wall swings open, revealing a figure: dark, flamboyant, mysterious. She is he. He is she. It is: The Fabulous Die. The centerpiece of a troupe of showpeople who travel from place to place, collecting stories and now presenting them—about being the same, about being different. Curtain up for Klaus the duck, Kim the perch, and the strongest man in the world with a penchant for blonde curly wigs.
In his play, Sergej Gößner turns binary gender identity on its head, creates a world of carnival and revue—and, naturally, writes in rhyme.
