The sounds intertwine hypnotically, mysteriously, space-filling - Brìghde Chaimbeul is a virtuoso of the Scottish smallpipe, a warmer version of the bagpipes. Together with the Maxwell Quartet, she discovers connections between the flowing musical language of Philip Glass and the rhythmic patterns of traditional Celtic music.
