All the protagonists of this novel in 22 stories are driven by longing, but often trapped in oppressive relationships. Is it possible for the characters, whose different realities are also made visible in the novel through different linguistic worlds, to come to an understanding? For a time, they stand there in a glaring light and reveal everything about themselves.

Lisa Sommerfeldt is a playwright living in Bonn. Her radio plays have been broadcast by Deutschlandfunk Kultur, WDR and RAI Südtirol, among others. She was a fellow of the Villa Decius in Krakow and of the 1:1 mentoring program of the Literaturbüro NRW.
