Shepherd George (HUGH JACKMAN) reads detective stories to his beloved sheep every evening and assumes they don't understand a word of it. But when a mysterious incident disrupts the peaceful life on the farm, the sheep realize that they must now take over the investigation themselves. Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon as well as Hong Chau and Emma Thompson play the leading roles in this extremely charming and amusing crime comedy. The original English version also features Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O'Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein and Rhys Darby. The film was directed by Kyle Balda. The screenplay was written by Craig Mazin, who also wrote the screen story, based on the novel "Glennkill: A Sheep Thriller" by Leonie Swann. The film was produced by Lindsay Doran, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. Executive producers are Sarah-Jane Wright, Amelia Granger, Aditya Sood, Tyson Hesse, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Tim Wellspring. In the German version, Anke Engelke lends her distinctive voice to Lily the sheep and Bastian Pastewka to Mopple the sheep.
