With her mixture of blues, jazz, rock, disco and Iranian poetry, Googoosh managed to become famous beyond the borders of her country and became the first Persian pop star ever. Director Niloufar Taghizadeh, an Iranian exile working in Germany, has succeeded in creating a stylish portrait of the life of the exceptional artist Googoosh in this documentary with colorful archive material and interviews with the artist herself. The film celebrated its premiere at this year's Hamburg Film Festival.
