Guy-El invites: Evens Mab
In the organizer's words:
With Guy-El Invites, a monthly event brings together art, community, and the philosophy of Kimuntu. At its core is the circle: a space without a stage, without any separation between musicians and the audience. Everyone stands on the same level and becomes part of a shared, living moment.
On the last Saturday of each month at 8 p.m., Guy-El invites an artist to improvise together, share sounds, and create an open musical dialogue. Whether you sing, play, listen, or simply feel the collective vibration—every form of participation is welcome.
It’s not about performance, but about presence: listening, sensing, exchanging, and discovering new ways of being together.
In September, Guy-El Invites welcomes guitarist, singer, and composerEvens Mab. Originally from Brazzaville in the Republic of the Congo and now based in southern France, his music blends jazz, African musical traditions, soul, and blues. Growing up in a family of musicians, he developed a strong connection to African rhythms and improvisation from an early age. His contemporary Afro-jazz sound brings these influences together, creating a musical language shaped by both tradition and modernity.
Within the Guy-El Invites collective,Evens Mabbrings this musical openness to an improvisational setting. Together, they will create an evening shaped by rhythm, listening, and spontaneous musical dialogue—a shared space for presence, exchange, and collective experience through sound.
Free admission. Donations are welcome.
