Helene Bockhorst’s new solo show, “Lebefrau,” is an ode to life. Dark humor meets colorful outfits and silliness as she tackles the uncomfortable questions: Why is a man who enjoys life a “bon vivant,” while a woman is simply a “slut”? Should family traditions be carried on at all costs, even if they involve depression and unhealthy coping mechanisms? What can I do to make the world a better place—without going to too much trouble?
