Poverty in old age mainly affects FLINTA*. But hardly anyone talks about old-age provision. So the question arises: how can we find access to the topic of old-age provision, which seems so close and yet so unapproachable?
The exhibition is an attempt to make a complex social issue tangible through a creative and interactive approach. Visitors are guided through various stations from their own beliefs about money to supposedly intimidating financial concepts. What is the pension gap and how do I calculate it? What is compound interest and why is it important? How do I imagine life in old age? This exhibition approaches financial worries from different angles, explains the basics and provides food for thought, because: It's simpler than it sounds. And more radical than it seems.
The exhibition is designed for FLINTA* aged 16 and over and for anyone who wants to understand more about retirement provision as an act of self-care. "selbst für Sorge(n)?" is part of Inga Grönitz's bachelor's project in the Integrated Design course at the Cologne International School of Design.
