Jam Session

In the organizer's words:

Jakob Marsmann invites you to a session in May. As always, motivated beginners are very welcome. The Munich drummer is a player with a broad horizon. He is as attracted to tradition as he is to modern jazz and has a soft spot for drum 'n' bass and funk. Marsmann's musical preferences are also evident in his repertoire. Sometimes he swings in an exuberant and highly differentiated manner, sometimes he relies on powerful beats or bone-dry rhythms.

Jakob Marsmann began playing the drums at the age of four. At 14, he won the national Jugend Musiziert competition in the drumset solo category. After laying the foundations for his future career as a young student at Munich University of Music, he has been studying for a Bachelor's degree in Professor Christian Lettner's percussion class since 2021.

Jakob Marsmann's biography is already interspersed with various highlights. He has played with Olga Dudkova, the Susi Lotter Quintet, the Bergson Jazz Orchestra, the Pablo Struff Trio and Loni Elle and has shared the stage with legends such as Ivan Lins and Danilo Pérez.
