In this poetic drama, the taciturn Hirayama leads a life of ritualistic modesty in Tokyo. His life as a janitor is structured and carefree. But then unexpected encounters disrupt his routines and bring to light a past that Hirayama thought he had long since repressed and overcome. A tender homage to the dignity of simplicity and the joy of living in the here and now.

The Open-Air Cinema Summer is back at the Odonian Sculpture Park with 10 films, starting July 29 for five weeks every Wednesday & Thursday!
The following applies to all films:
- Doors open at 8:00 p.m.
- Film starts around 9:00 p.m. (after sunset)
- Advance tickets have gone on sale and are limited.
- There will bea Box Officeon-site for every screening, even if tickets are already sold out online. The Box Office acceptscashonly, and admission is granted only while seats are available.
- With aCineville subscription, admission at the Box Office is free (show your card); admission is also subject to seat availability.
- Popcorn, nachos with cheese sauce, and soft-serve ice cream from Hempies_vegan!
- Please bring your own blankets! :)
