Lidia grows up in 1970s Oregon in an environment marked by violence and alcohol. As a talented swimmer, she seeks refuge in the water, but pain and self-destruction follow her even on land. It is only through writing that she begins to come to terms with her own story and transform her experiences of trauma and loss into words.

In her directorial debut, *THE CHRONOLOGY OF WATER*, Kristen Stewart breaks free from the conventions of the classic biopic in her adaptation of the autobiographical work by writer and swimmer Lidia Yuknavitch. Instead of a linear life story, the film is told from the subjective perspective of its main character—physically, fragmentarily, and up close.

The open-air cinema with headphones will take place in the parking lot directly next to the Filmhaus (Maybachstr. 111)! 

The event begins around 9:45 p.m., once it’s dark enough.

In case of rain, all ticket holders will be notified by email, and the event will take place at 10:00 p.m. at the Filmhaus Kino.
