Pubs also tell stories and history. In Roman times, the Eigelstein was located directly on the other side of the northern city wall. More than almost any other district in Cologne, it stands for the coexistence of many cultures and a rich street life with international stores, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Until 2018, even the Gaffel brewery was located directly on Eigelstein, regularly immersing the district in a cloud of barley malt, yeast and hops. The guided pub crawl explores the Eigelstein district on five stops.
