Cornel Wachter is no stranger to Südstadt. He organizes charity events, cinema evenings and musical city tours with Josef Loup. For Urlaub in Köln, the program includes stories of "Lück wie ich un du" in the streets from Chlodwigplatz to the south. We listen to songs by Ostermann, Bap, Köster & Hocker and, of course, the Bläck Fööss.

We hear stories about the Edelweiss pirate Jean "Schang" Jülich, Wolfgang Niedecken, dat Vringsdökterchen Dr. Max Dietlein and the resistance of the Alsace Street. Südstadt is a melting pot in which many Cologne celebrities have left their mark: We look for Ostermann's favorite pub in Merowingerstrasse, the good spirit of the Martin Luther Church Pastor Hans Mörtter, the last patriarch of professional soccer Jean "Schäng" Löring, Irmgard Keun, Trude Herr and "Die Kill" from the 3 Rabaue.
