Life after Microsoft - Panel discussion on the impact of Big Tech on society, work and democracy

What appeared to be a warning signal in 2001 is now a reality: digital infrastructures are increasingly shaping work, communication and the political public sphere. The documentary "Life after Microsoft" by Corinna Belz showed early on how deeply corporate logic intervenes in everyday life - often invisibly, but effectively. Today, the question is more acute: How much power has Big Tech gained over our society? And what does it mean for democracy and the public sphere when central digital spaces are controlled by a few global players? The panel will discuss the consequences of this development - between the market, power and the possible loss of digital self-determination.
