The washed-up TV presenter Chris Masterman (Ryan Corr) hasn't been offered any particularly glamorous jobs for a long time. So he finds himself on his way to the Australian pampas. Broome is the name of the sleepy little town where Chris is supposed to be staying. However, the journey into the outback is not exactly exciting. However, when Chris runs over a kangaroo cub in a moment of carelessness, he is back in full swing. He wants to save the injured animal and, in his search for help, comes across Charlie (Lily Whiteley), an eleven-year-old indigenous girl who joins him on his mission.
