Musical journey through various cities important to Lisa Batiashvili with works by Charlie Chaplin, Johann Sebastian Bach, Jean Sibelius, Antonín Dvořák, Fritz Kreisler, Astor Piazzolla, Gija Kantscheli, Katie Melua and others.
"No matter where you go: the places of your life always stay close to you," says Lisa Batiashvili about her program "City Lights". Our resident artist portrays her favorite cities with the violin, starting with her home city of Tbilisi and moving on to Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Helsinki, New York, Buenos Aires and beyond. With new arrangements for violin and orchestra of classical, jazz, chanson and film music, complemented by video projections, she tells her personal story.
