Love Spells

Love Spells is coming to Germany in August to bring a project to the stage that has quickly garnered growing international attention beyond digital platforms. Behind the name is Houston-based singer-songwriter Sir Taegen C’aion Harris, who stands out with a clearly defined aesthetic and a sound heavily driven by atmosphere. The two shows in Berlin and Cologne offer the opportunity to experience this still-young project live.

Musically, Love Spells moves between dream pop, shoegaze, and psychedelic influences, without relying on traditional song structures. Instead, the tracks are defined by their atmosphere: carried by ethereal vocals, understated percussion, and expansive guitar textures that open up spaces. This approach creates an immediate, intimate effect and deliberately prioritizes minimalism over over-the-top production. Harris reached his first fans via SoundCloud, where early releases quickly resonated with listeners. The project also gained reach through TikTok and gradually built an international audience.

Since the debut single “Darling, have you seen my soul?” (2021), the singer-songwriter has shaped the captivating sound and overall aesthetic of Love Spells with a distinct artistic signature. Minimalist, often nostalgic visual worlds blend with a devotion to romance. Amid gentle soundscapes and indie rock accents, Love Spells explores themes of love, intimacy, and heartbreak without succumbing to over-the-top clichés. On the EP *The Love I Showed You Was Yours To Keep*, released in 2025, the musician explores precisely these facets of a relationship. This resonated with audiences: the lead single “Lovers Only” debuted on Zane Lowe’s show and was followed by features in renowned music media.

The fact that Love Spells sees itself as a holistic concept becomes even clearer through his live shows. The focus is above all on the impact of the songs: direct, approachable, and focused on the essentials. He has already demonstrated his captivating stage presence as an opening act for artists like Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory and Kacy Hill, as well as during his first headline shows. The excitement continues this summer: In addition to slots at festivals like Pukkelpop and All Things Go, as well as opening for Suki Waterhouse, Love Spells will now also be coming to Berlin and Cologne for two concerts in August.
