Neon Paradise - Cyberpunk Special with ALEX & Droidglow

Cologne, get ready for the ultimate upgrade: on Saturday, 05.09.2026, the Neon Paradise - Cyberpunk Special will transform the Blue Shell Club into a dystopian neon night club (as futuristic as a club with an 80s interior can be).

Immerse yourself in a night full of rich bass and the sound of a dark future of cyberpunk, dark synth and synthwave. As an absolute highlight, synthwave icon ALEX celebrates his long-awaited return to our stage after his appearance in 2023 and brings his usual sound of midtempo, breakbeats & synthwave. With albums such as the "Akuma" trilogy, released via NewRetroWave, to synthpop works such as "Simulation", his sound has a wide repertoire.

For the very first time, we also welcome Droidglow, who blurs the line between man and machine with his dark, driving dark synth sound. Last year, he released the album "Neon Inferno" (also via NewRetroWave), which contains mid-tempo tracks as well as rockier numbers such as "The Hunter" feat. Shaun von LeBrock.

The two live acts will be flanked by razor-sharp beats from our Cologne local support Chris Champlin and our Neon Paradise residents Ben Cool & Nora Malloy, who will drive the dance floor to meltdown on the decks.

Then come and join us at the Blue Shell - which is regarded as an authority for alternative newcomers - and immerse yourself in an atmosphere somewhere between Blade Runner and Stranger Things! With fog and neon lights, we dance through the night. All friendly people are welcome, no matter what you look like or who you're into. There's a checkroom, friendly bouncers and a small outdoor area for smoking. And all for a really fair price!
