Open-air concert
Tzigan, based in Cordoba, Argentina, is now one of the most renowned formations in the field of tango, jazz and Eastern European music. The trio combines traditional Roma melodies with the nostalgia and melancholy of Argentine tango.
The music is soulful and descriptive, full of emotion, passion and euphoria. It conjures up the experiences of the Roma of Eastern Europe in a fusion with sounds that originate from the Argentine tango. The melodies from her diverse repertoire, sung in Romani and Russian or merely instrumentalized, are transformed into true stories describing Roma traditions and scenarios: Spring mornings, get-togethers around the campfire, cold nights, the gallop of horses in the distance, wind, dances, love affairs, dreams.
All these things are present and invite the listener to experience them with unique virtuoso playing and to explore them as a musically inexhaustible panorama.
